The ICE-powered Tata Sierra will go on sale in India on 25th November, 2025. The SUV lineup is expected to be offered three engine options – 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel. An electric version of the Sierra will follow in early 2026. Recently, a test mule of the Tata Sierra EV has been caught on camera wearing heavy camouflage; however, its suspension setup was clearly visible.

Multi-link Rear Suspension Like Harrier EV
The upcoming Sierra EV will feature a multi-link rear suspension as we have seen in the Harrier EV. It’s an independent system enabling rear wheels to move separately, which results in minimal jolts on rough roads. Furthermore, it provides better control during cornering and lane changes along with improved stability at high speeds. This means, the electric Sierra will promise composed handling even on uneven patches.

Two Battery Packs & Expected Range
Official powertrain details are yet to be revealed. According to reports, the Tata Sierra EV might borrow the 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs from the Harrier EV. The smaller battery is paired with a 238PS rear motor, while the larger battery pack comes with a 158PS front motor. The torque output of both setups stands at up to 504Nm. The Harrier EV offers a claimed MIDC range of up to 627km on a single charge. The Sierra EV is expected to offer a range of over 500km.
