New 2026 Kia Seltos Launching Jan 2 – What Will the SUV Cost?

The next-generation Kia Seltos is all set to go on sale in India on 2nd January, 2025. The all-new model has already been showcased, revealing design changes, feature upgrades and mechanical enhancements. Bookings for the SUV are currently open across the country at Rs 25,000, with deliveries to start by mid-January, 2026. While official prices will be announced next week, the new 2026 Kia Seltos is expected to receive a marginal price hike.

Expected Price Range

As per our expectations, prices of the entry-level HTE variant are likely to remain largely similar to the base variant, which is priced at Rs 10.79 lakh. However, the fully-loaded top variant GTX (A) variant could see a noticeable price hike, and cost around Rs 20 lakh (all, ex-showroom).

New Kia Seltos 2026 Details

Dimensions & Design

Compared to the current generation, the new 2026 Kia Seltos is 95mm longer, 30mm wider and 10mm shorter. Its wheelbase has been increased by 80mm. The SUV now measures 4460mm in length, 1830mm in width and 1635mm in height with a wheelbase of 2690mm. The next-gen Seltos derives its design inspiration from the Kia Telluride, with the newly-designed grille featuring vertical gun-metal accents serving as a key highlight.

The SUV also features new squarish headlamps, revised bumper with contrast black cladding, LED DRL signatures, fog lamps with body-coloured surround accents, new flush-fitting door handles, new 18-inch alloy wheels and inverted L-shaped LED taillamps.

Premium Features

Inside, the new Kia Selots 2026 offers a panoramic display setup comprising a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 5.0-inch HVAC display. Even the base trim comes pretty loaded, while features such as ventilated front seats, wireless charger, a 360 degree camera, connected tech, powered driver’s seat with memory function, dual-tone leatherette upholstery and Level 2 ADAS suite are reserved for the top-end trim.

Same Engine Options

Engine options remain unchanged and include a 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, a 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and a 116bhp, 1.5L diesel. The NA petrol unit is available with a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic, the turbo-petrol motor can be had either with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. The diesel motor comes with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
