The Indian automobile industry witnessed strong YoY (year-on-year) growth in November 2025. A total of 4,17,495 passenger vehicles were sold last month, compared to 3,51,592 units in November 2024, recording a YoY growth of 18.7 percent. SUVs topped the sales chart, with the Tata Nexon leading the pack, followed by the Punch, Creta and Scorpio. Here’re the top 10 best-selling SUVs along with key insights from the monthly sales report.

Key Observations:
The Tata Nexon registered sales of 22,434 units, up from 15,329 units in the same month last year, accounting a 46 percent YoY growth. The second position was secured by another Tata model – the Punch, which posted sales of 18,753 units against 11,779 units in November 2024. The micro SUV is all set to receive a midlife update in early 2026.
The Hyundai Creta slipped to third position with sales of 17,344 units as opposed to 15,452 units in the corresponding month last year. It was followed by the Mahindra Scorpio, which registered 15,616 units and a significant 23 percent YoY growth.
Maruti Suzuki’s Fronx, Vitara Brezza and Victoris secured the fifth, sixth and seventh positions with sales of 15,058 units, 13,947 units and 12,300 units, respectively. While the Fronx recorded a marginal 1 percent YoY growth, the Vitara Brezza witnessed a 7 percent decline in YoY sales.
Kia managed to sell 12,051 units of the Sonet subcompact SUV against 9,255 units in November 2024, recording a 30 percent YoY growth.
The Hyundai Venue, which recently received a generational upgrade, posted monthly sales of 11,645 units. Lastly, the Maruti Grand Vitara clocked 11,339 units compared to 10,148 units in the same month previous year.
