The Hyundai Venue has achieved an impressive 5-star safety rating at the recently conducted Bharat NCAP crash tests. The subcompact SUV scored 31.15 out of a maximum of 32 points in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 44.46 points out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection (COP). The HX2 diesel-manual and HX10 diesel-automatic variants were subjected to the crash tests; however, the safety rating applies to all variants of the Venue.
Hyundai Venue Adult Occupant Protection
In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, protection for the driver’s head, neck, pelvis, thighs and feet was rated as ‘Good’. However, protection for driver’s chest and tibia was rated as ‘Adequate’. For the front passenger, the Venue provided ‘Good’ protection for all critical body parts, except the tibia. In the side movable and pole impact test, the Venue offered ‘Good’ protection to all body parts, scoring a full 16 out of 16 points.

Hyundai Venue Child Occupant Protection
In the frontal and side crash tests, the Venue provided ‘Good’ protection for the 3-year-old child dummy, scoring of 7.46 out 8 points and 4 out of 4 points, respectively. The scores for dynamic, CRS installation and vehicle assessment stood at 23.46 out of 24, 12 out of 12 and 9 out of 13 points, respectively.
Standard Safety Features
The standard safety kit of the Venue includes six airbags, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, Isofix child seat anchor points and three-point seatbelts with reminders for all seats.
