Aiming to regain its lost market share, Honda Cars India has announced four new SUVs including ICE, hybrid and electric models, slated to arrive by 2030. While the names and details of these upcoming Honda SUVs are still under the wraps, the carmaker has confirmed the arrival of Honda 0 α (Alpha) electric SUV in 2027. Before the EV’s debut, Honda will introduce the Elevate hybrid, a three-row premium SUV and a sub-4 metre SUV.

The Honda Elevate EV is expected to hit the roads in the second half of 2026, while the new Honda 7-seater SUV is expected to arrive in late 2027. The Japanese automaker is likely to re-enter in the subcompact SUV sometime in 2029. Rumour has it that Honda could bring in the ZR-V hybrid SUV in India via the CBU route by early 2026.

  • Globally, the Honda ZR-V is available with a 2.0L petrol engine paired with two electric motors and an e-CVT gearbox. This hybrid setup offers a combined power of 180bhp. A 1.5L turbo petrol engine with a CVT gearbox is also on offer. If launched in India, the ZR-V will feature the same hybrid powertrain.
  • The Honda Elevate hybrid is likely to share its powetrain with the City e:HEV. The SUV is expected to receive a few hybrid-specific changes inside and out. According to the company, the upcoming hybrid SUV will feature an energy-dense motor, a lightweight battery pack and an advanced transmission.
  • The upcoming Honda 7-seater SUV will mark debut of the brand’s new modular PF2 platform, which will also underpin the new-gen City. It’s expected to come with two engine options – a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5L petrol-hybrid.
  • The Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV adopts the brand’s new ‘Thin, Light and Wise’ design language and features upright stance. The EV is likely to come with a battery pack ranging between 65kWh – 75kWh along with single motor and FWD setup.
  • Details of the upcoming Honda subcompact SUV are scanty at this moment. What we know that it will be based on the PF2 architecture, and could be offered with a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine.
