The new Renault Duster has started arriving at dealerships nationwide ahead of its official launch in March 2026. Pre-bookings are already underway with a token sum of Rs 21,000. The carmaker has confirmed that deliveries of the turbo-petrol variants will begin in April, while the strong hybrid version will join the lineup before Diwali 2026.
Competition & Expected Prices
In the midsize SUV segment, the 2026 Renault Duster will take on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Victoris and Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and other models. While its prices will be officially announced in the coming weeks, the SUV lineup is expected to come within the range of Rs 9.50-10 lakh – Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Turbo Power
The new Renault Duster is available with a 1.3L turbo petrol and 1.0L turbo petrol engine options, delivering power worth 163bhp with 280Nm and 100bhp with 160Nm, respectively. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard across the range, while a 6-speed DCT is exclusively offered with the larger turbocharged engine.
Most Powerful Hybrid
The Duster hybrid will be the most powerful hybrid vehicle in its segment. Renault has confirmed that the SUV will use a 109bhp, 1.8L, four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a 49bhp electric motor, a 1.4kWh battery pack and a 20bhp hybrid starter generator (HSG). The combined power and torque outputs stand at 160bhp and 172Nm, respectively.
Key Highlights
The 2026 Renault Duster offers a boot space of 518-litres, and carries a kerb weight of 1,411kg. The SUV measures 4,343 mm in length, 1,813 mm in width and 1,659 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,657mm. It has a 26.9-degree approach angle and a 34.7-degree departure angle.
