The new TVS Apache RTX 300 has finally gone on sale in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is TVS’s first adventure tourer bike, positioned against the Royal Enfield Scram 440, KTM 250 Adveture and Yezdi Adventure.
All-New Platform
Built on the all-new Next-Gen TVS RT-XD4 engine platform, this motorcycle is claimed to offer blend of “race-honed performance with long-touring comfort, redefining what modern adventure motorcycling stands for.” This platform benefits from four dual technologies – dual overhead cams with downdraft port, dual oil pump with split chamber crankcase, dual cooling jacket cylinder head with water jacket and dual breather system.

Engine & Specs
Starting with the engine. The TVS Apache RTX 300 uses a 299.1cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine, generating a maximum power of 36PS at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. This 4-stroke motor is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch. The new TVS adventure bike offers four ride modes – Urban, Rain, Tour and Rally.
The suspension setup consists of an inverted cartridge fork at the front and mono-tube with floating piston (MFP) at the rear. Designed on a lightweight steel trellis frame, this bike ensures structural efficiency with great dynamic response. It also offers low seat height for better control, an improved power-to-weight ratio and easy manoeuvrability across terrains.

Colour Options
The new TVS Apache RTX 300 comes five colour options – Pearl White, Viper Green, Lighting Black, Metallic Blue and Tarn Bronze. These shades are complimented by matte textures, gloss contrasts with fine detailing and signature Apache Red highlights.
Design & Features
The new TVS adventure bike has rally-inspired ergonomics along with ‘eye-shaped’ LED headlamps, LED turn indicators, muscular fuel tank, a transparent windscreen and a beak-like projection at the front.
