Commemorating the 50th global anniversary of the BMW 3 Series, the German automaker has introduced special editions of the 3 Series Long Wheelbase and the M340i in India. The BMW 330Li M Sport 50 Jahre Edition has been priced at Rs 64 lakh, while the BMW M340i 50 Jahre Editon costs Rs 76.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Compared to their regular counterparts, both special editions are nearly Rs 1.40 lakh and Rs 1 lakh more expensive, respectively. Only 50 units of these special editions will be available for sale. For people not in the know, the word ‘Jahre’ means ‘years’ in German.

BMW 330 Li M Sport 50 Jahre Edition – Key Highlights
The 330 Li M Sport 50 Jahre Edition comes in three metallic colour options – M Carbon Black, Skyscraper Grey and Mineral White. The glossy black treatment on the signature front grille, window surrounds, tailpipes and rear diffuser differentiate it from the regular model. Furthermore, it features a ‘1/50’ badging on the B-pillar.
This special edition features a carbon fibre interior, leather upholstery in Vernasca Cognac and black finish along with 3D augmented navigation and a HUD (head-up display).
Powering the 330 Li M Sport 50 Jahre Editon is the same 2.0L turbo petrol engine that does duty in the regular model. This motor pushes out a maximum power of 258bhp and 400Nm of torque.
BMW M340i 50 Jahre Editon – Key Highlights
The M340i 50 Jahre Edition is offered in four metallic paint schemes – Fire Red Metallic, Black Sapphire, Dravit Grey and Arctic Race Blue. Similar to the 330i M Sport special edition, it gets a ‘1/50’ badging on the B-pillar along with ’50 Jahre’ emblems on the front, rear and hubcaps.
Gloss black finishing has been applied to the M badge on the fender and M340i badge on the tailgate, enhancing its sportier appearance. It comes with an M Performance Key Fob. The interior has been enhanced with black leather Vernasca upholstery with M highlights. Buyers will additionally receive a 1:18 scale model of the BMW 3.0 CSL.
The M340i 50 Jahre Edition derives power from a 3.0L, 6-cylinder, inline petrol engine, producing a maximum power of 374hbp and 500Nm of toque.
