Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to expand its born-electric SUV lineup after the successful launch of the XEV 9e and BE 6. The Mahindra XEV 7e is likely to join the bandwagon in November 2025, essentially serving as the 7-seater version of the XEV 9e coupe SUV. Both these EVs will share the same platform, powertrains, design lanugage, features and several components. However, the XEV 7e will feature a silhouette similar to the ICE-powered XUV700.
Leaked images reveal that the upcoming Mahindra XEV 7e will feature a blanked-out grille with a LED light bar running across the body, flush door handles, aero-optimized 19-inch alloy wheels and connected LED taillamps.

Expected Features & Interior
Interior details of the new Mahindra 7-seater electric SUV are still under the wraps. It’s likely to have cabin layout and features similar to the XEV 9e; however, the additional third row seats will set it apart. While the official feature list is yet to be revealed, the XEV 7e is expected to offer the following goodies
- Triple screen setup
- Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
- Wireless phone charger
- Air purifier
- Dual-zone climate control
- Multi-colour ambient lighting
- Dolby Atmos audio system
- Electronic parking brake with auto hold
- Hill start assist
- 360-degree camera
- Electronic stability control
- Level 2 ADAS
- Multiple airbags
Powertrains Borrowed from XEV 9e
The Mahindra XEV 7e is expected to be offered with the 59kWh and 79kWh battery pack options, borrowed from the XEV 9e. While former comes paired with a 231bhp motor, the latter is available with a 286bhp motor driving the rear wheels.
On the XEV 9e, the 59kWh battery offers a claimed MIDC range of 542km and the 79kWh battery delivers up to 656km on a single charge. The driving range of the XEV 7e is likely to be more or less similar to its 5-seater counterpart. Both battery packs will support DC fast charging – up to 140kWh for the 59kWh version and 175kW for the 79kWh version.
