Mahindra & Mahindra is riding high on success, and the company is gearing up to keep the momentum going with multiple new product launches with different segments and powertrains. For buyers looking for a 7-seater family SUV, Mahindra has two exciting models lined up for launch very soon. The Mahindra XEV 7e (7-seater version of the XEV 9e coupe SUV) and the updated XUV700 are confirmed to arrive early next year. Here’s what we can expect from these new Mahindra 7-seater SUVs.
Mahindra XEV 7e
The Mahindra XEV 7e will be the company’s third electric SUV based on the INGLO platform, sharing its powertrain, features and design elements with the XEV 9e. It’s likely to come with a triple screen setup, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, dual zone climate control, an augmented reality HUD, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera with live recording and several premium features. One of the key differentiators from the XEV 9e will be the captain’s chairs for the second-row passengers.
This upcoming Mahindra 7-seater SUV is expected to borrow the 59kWh and 79kWh LFP battery packs from the XEV 9e. The smaller battery comes with a 286bhp motor and promises a range of 542km, while the larger battery pack is paired with a 231bhp motor offers a claimed range of 656km. However, the driving range for the XEV 7e might vary slightly.
Mahindra XUV700 Facelift
The updated Mahindra XUV700 will hit roads in the first half of 2025. Spy images suggest that most of cosmetic changes will be made at the front end. The SUV is likely to come with newly-designed circular headlamps, slightly revised grille with new slanted vertical slats and redesigned lower section.
The XUV700 is already one of the well-equipped vehicles in its category. With this update, it’s expected to get an upgraded Harman audio system with Dolby Atmos tech, rear seat with ottoman function, a digital key, an auto dimming IRVM and self-parking assist.
Mechanically, the 2026 Mahindra XUV700 facelift is likely to remain unchanged. The SUV will continue to be offered with the 297bhp, 2.0L turbo petrol and 182bhp, 2.2L turbo diesel engine options. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will also be carried over to updated version.
