Waiting for a New Car? 8 Launches Before 2025 Ends

2025 has been a transformational year for the Indian automotive industry – right from shifting buyers’ sentiment towards greener alternatives to the latest GST reforms that pushed the market into a new gear. As we entered the last four months of the year, the buzz around new car launches is getting stronger. This could be the right time to wait a little longer and make a sensible car purchase. Why? Because at least 8 new cars and SUVs are ready to hit roads before 2025 ends.

Here’s a quick look at the upcoming models.

Upcoming Cars/SUVs In 2025

• The updated Mahindra Thar will go on sale in the coming weeks. The SUV will borrow several design cues and features from the Thar Roxx, while retaining its existing engine-gearbox combinations.

• The Maruti Victoris has already started reaching showrooms ahead of its official price announcement. It’s the first Maruti Suzuki to feature Level-2 ADAS and the safest offering yet, achieving a 5 star at Bharat NCAP. The SUV will come with three engine options – petrol mild hybrid, strong hybrid and petrol-CNG.

• The Tata Punch facelift will debut with subtle design changes and feature upgrades in October. It will be followed by the Tata Sierra EV in November, which is expected to share its powertrain with the Harrier EV.

• The next-gen Hyundai Venue will receive significant changes inside and out, while retaining the existing engine options.

• Skoda will reintroduce its performance-oriented Octavia RS sedan with a 265bhp, 2.0L turbo petrol engine. Imported via the CBU route, it is estimated to be priced around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).

• MG showcased the Majestor SUV at this year’s Bharat Mobility Show. While it was initially planned for a 2025 launch, the carmaker has yet to announce a launch date.
