Must Read

At the ongoing IAA Mobility 2025, Volkswagen has showcased its first all-electric small car – the Volkswagen ID. Cross concept SUV alongside the Volkswagen ID. Polo and CUPRA Raval. All these models are part of the company’s “Electric Urban Car Family” (EUCF) initiative, aimed to provide affordable electric mobility for future generations across its brands.

Speaking to an online media publication, Volkswagen Group CEO Oliver Blume has confirmed that the company is evaluating India as a strategic market for its next-generation small electric cars. The recent GST reduction on vehicles has further made India a more inviting market for global manufacturers.

Based on the MEB modular electric drive matrix, the Volkswagen ID.
