Vinfast VF6 & VF7 Launch Tomorrow

The Vinfast VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs are all set to go on sale in India tomorrow (i.e. 6th September, 2025). Interested buyers can pre-book the EVs by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. The Vinfast VF6 wil be positioned in the highly competitive midsize EV segment to challenge Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV and Mahindra BE 6. The Vinfast VF7, on the other hand, will take on the Tata Harrier EV and Mahindra XEV 9e.

While the official prices of the EVs will be revealed tomorrow, the VF6 and VF7 are estimated to be priced close to Rs 20-25 lakh and Rs 25-30 lakh, respectively (on-road). Assembly of the electric SUVs has already commenced at Vinfast’s Thoothukudi facility in Tamil Nadu.

This electric SUV lineup will be spread across two trims – Earth and Wind. The carmaker has confirmed that the entry-level Earth variant will be available with all-black cabin theme, while the Wind trim will come in dual-tone Mocha Brown and Black theme. The VF6 will be available in 6 exterior colour options – Crimson Red, Jet Black, Zenith Grey, Urban Mint, Infinity Blanc and Desat Silver.

The Vinfast VF6 will feature a 59.6kWh battery pack and a front-axle mounted 204bhp electric motor. This setup will offer a claimed WLTP range of 480km on a single charge. Power will be delivered to the front wheels.

Vinfast VF7

The VF7 will be offered in three trims – Earth, Wind and Sky. While the Earth variant will get all-black interior, the Wind and Sky will available in dual-tone Mocha Brown and Black theme. Exterior colour options will be same as the VF6.

When it comes to powertrain, the Vinfast VF7 will use a larger 70.8kWh battery pack with both single and dual motor options. The dual motor AWD version will produce a maximum power of 345PS and 500Nm of torque. This new Vinfast EV will promise a driving range of up to 496km on a single charge. It’s capable to do 0 to 00kmph in just 5.8 seconds.
