The Vietnamese EV manufacturer, Vinfast is all set to commence its Indian operations with the launch of the VF6 and VF7 SUVs. Both models will officially go on sale with their price announcement scheduled for 6th September, 2025. Pre-bookings for the Vinfast VF6 and VF7 are already underway for a token sum of Rs 21,000. Earlier this month, the carmaker rolled out the first production EV (VF7) from its Thoothukudi-based assembly facility in Tamil Nadu.
Vinfast VF6
Similar to its global-spec version, the VF6 in India will be offered with a 59.6kWh battery pack, paired with a front-axle mounted 204bhp, electric motor and FWD system. It has a claimed WLTP range of 480km. The Vinfast VF6 will come in two trim levels – Earth and Wind and 6 colour options – Jet Black, Urban Mint, Desat Silver, Zenith Grey, Infinity Blanc and Crimson Red. The Earth trim will feature an all-black cabin theme, while the Wind trim will get a dual-tone Mocha Brown and Black theme.
Vinfast VF7
The Vinfast VF7 electric SUV model lineup will come in three trims – Earth, Wind and Sky – with the same six colour options as the VF6. The base variant will offer an all-black cabin, while the Wind and Sky trims will get a dual-tone Mocha Brown and Black interior. The powertrain setup of the VF7 will consist of a 70.8kWh battery pack, available with single and dual motor configuration options. The EV will deliver a range of up to 496km on a full charge. The dual motor AWD variant will return a claimed power of 354PS and 500Nm of torque. It does 0 to 100kmph in just 5.8 seconds.
