Vinfast VF6 & VF7 Electric SUVs Launched in India

Popular Vietnamese EV manufacturer, Vinfast has finally entered the Indian market with the launch of the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs. Both models have been brought via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route for local assembly at the brand’s Tamil Nadu facility. Bookings for the VF6 and VF7 are already underway, with two showrooms located in Surat and Chennai. The carmaker aims to expand its dealership network to 35 showrooms across 27 cities by the end of this year.

The Vinfast VF6 coms in three trim levels – Earth, Wind and Wind Infinity– priced from Rs 16.49 lakh onwards. The Vinfast VF7, being a flagship offering, is made available at a premium pricing starting at Rs 20.89 lakh onwards. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.

Its important to note that Vinfast is offering a 10-year/2 lakh km standard warranty on the VF7 and its battery pack. The VF6 gets a 7 years/2 lakh km warranty and 10 years/2 lakh km warranty on its battery. Buyers will also get free charging at its VGreens chargers until July 2028, along with free maintenence for 3 years and a free curtain for the panoramic sunroof.

Vinfast VF6 Range & Battery

The powertrain setup of the Vinfast VF6 consists of a 59.6kWh battery pack, paired to a single motor and FWD (front-wheel-drive) system. This configuration delivers a claimed power of 204bhp and 310Nm of torque. Vinfast claims that the VF6 delivers an ARIA-certified range of up to 468km on a single charge. It can be fast charge from 10 to 70% in just 25 minutes. It has a 2,730mm long wheelbase and 190mm of ground clearance.

Vinfast VF7 Range & Battery

The Vinfast VF7 uses a larger 70.8kWh battery pack, which can be had either with a single motor or a dual-motor setup. It returns a claimed power of up to 532km on a full charge. The dual-motor AWD version produces a maximum power of 350bhp and 500Nm of torque. The EV accelerates 0 to 100kmph in just 5.8 seconds. Its charging time of just 24 minutes from 10% to 70%.

Interior Theme Options:

The VF6 Earth trim is available in all-black cabin theme, while the Wind trim gets a dual-tone Mocha Brown and Black interior. Similarly, the Vinfast VF7 Earth trim offers a sporty all-black interior theme, whereas the higher Wind and Sky variants feature a Mocha Brown and Black theme.
