TVS Ntorq 150 Launched in India – Prices, Variants & Top Speed

TVS Motor Company has introduced its most powerful scooter in India – the Ntorq 150. This new scooter is available in two variants – Base and TFT – priced at Rs 1.19 lakh and Rs 1.29 lakh, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. At this price point, the TVS Ntroq 150 takes on the Hero Xoom 16 (Rs 1.50 lakh), Yamaha Aerox 155 (Rs 1.50 lakh) and Aprilia SR 175 (Rs 1.33 lakh). Bookings are already underway, while deliveries will commence soon.

Starting with the engine. The Ntorq 150 derives power from a new 149.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, pushing out a maximum power of 13.2PS at 7,000rpm and 14.2Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. This makes it 3.01PS more powerful and 3.3Nm torquier than the Ntorq 125. The company claims that the Ntroq 150 sprints from 0 to 60kmph in 6.3 seconds, and achieves a top speed of 104kmph. Riders can switch between two modes – Street and Race.

Suspension duties are performed by a telescopic fork and a single-sided shock absorber. The Ntorq 150 rides on 12-inch front and rear alloy wheels shod with tubeless tyres. Braking power comes from a 220mm disc and a 130mm drum brake, fitted at the front and rear axles, respectively. It offers a seat height of 770mm and a ground clearance of 155mm. It carries a kerb weight of 115kg and offers a fuel tank capacity of 5.8-litres. Storage options include a 22-litres underseat compartment and a 2-litre apron glove box.

Visually, the Ntorq 150 shares resemblance with the Ntroq 125. However, the new dual projector LED headlights, fang-like turn indicators, sportier body panels and sharply designed front fascia give it a more aggressive appearance.

The Base variant features an LCD + TFT display, supporting smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, music control and ride statistics.

The TFT variant, on the other hand, is equipped with a full TFT display along with OTA (over-the-air) updates, a 4-button controller placed on left side switchgear to navigate the console. It also offers Bluetooth connectivity, two riding modes (Street and Race) and traction control. Interestingly, the Ntroq 150 is the first scooter in its segment to offer adjustable brake levers.
