Maruti Escudo
The Maruti Escudo is the widely referred name for the upcoming midsize SUV from the Indo-Japanese automaker, which will get a new nameplate at launch. It will be based on the Grand Vitara, but retailed exclusively through Arena dealerships. The Escudo is likely to borrow the 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5L petrol-hybrid and CNG engines from the Grand Viara. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer.
New-Gen Hyundai Venue
The next-gen Hyundai Venue is likely to come with significantly improved styling and feature enhancements, while retaining the existing engine setup. The subcompact SUV is currently available with three engine options – a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.0L turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel. On the feature front, the all-new Venue might get a dual 12.3-inch screen setup, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and updated ADAS suite.
Tata Punch Facelift
The 2025 Tata Punch facelift is expected to draw inspiration from the Punch EV. It might receive a larger touchscreen, a touch-based HVAC panel and a new steering along with some more features. Under the hood, the updated Punch will continue to feature the 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which is good for 87bhp and 115Nm. Transmission choices will also remain unchanged – i.e. a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.
Tata Harrier/Safari Petrol
The petrol version of the Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs will arrive in the month of November. Both models will make debut of Tata’s all-new 1.5L TGDi turbo petrol engine, which will tuned for generating a maximum power of 170bhp and 280Nm of torque. The new petrol engine will be made available with both manual and automatic gearboxes. No major design other changes are expected.
