August 2025 wasn’t a good month for the Indian automotive industry with total standing at 3,27,719 units against 354,273 units in the same month last year. The decline was majorly due to the pending GST price revisions and monsoon disruptions in several states. All mainstream car manufacturers witnessed negative growth, while Toyota, MG and Skoda managed to post a YoY sales growth of 2.5%, 43.9% and 79.3%, respectively.
