The next major product launch from Tata Motors will be the next-generation Sierra, slated to arrive with electric powertrain in October or November and ICE (internal combustion engine) engines in early 2026. In the midsize SUV segment, the all-new Tata Sierra will face heat from models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun and Honda Elevate.

Triple Screens
Spy images have confirmed that the Tata Sierra will feature a large floating triple screen setup – a central touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument console and a passenger side display. Other expected features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, a premium audio system, HUD, built-in dashcam, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support and more. It might borrow several equipment from the Harrier EV.

High On Safety
Similar to other Tata SUVs, the Siera will offer several advanced safety features including Level-2 ADAS (autonomous driver assistance system), electronic stability program, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill hold/descent control and more.
4-Seater Lounge Cabin
The lounge version with a wider L-shaped sofa-like rear seat arrangement might make it to the production. The concept model showcased rear seat entertainment screens, phone chargers, several connectivity options, foldable tray tables and arm rests. However, the 4-seater lounge variant of the Sierra has not yet been spotted testing.
Different Platforms For ICE & EV
The Tata Sierra EV will be built on the Acti.ev platform that also underpins the Punch EV and Curvv EV, while the ICE-powered version will be based on the ATLAS architecture.
Borrowed Electric Powertrain
The electric Sierra might borrow the 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs from the Harrier EV; however, the driving range could be different.
QWD System
The electric version of the SUV is expected to offer QWD or AWD drivetrain option.
NA Petrol & Diesel Engines
Tata is adopting multiple powertrain strategy for the Sierra SUV. The ICE version will initially be offered with an all-new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and a 2.0L diesel engine. A 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine will be introduced at a later stage.
