The long wait for the all-new Tata Sierra SUV is almost over as the carmaker is gearing up for its market launch and has already shot its TVC. The latest emerged video and images reveal that the launch TVC will feature both the original Sierra and the new model. While the official launch date is yet to be announced, the SUV is likely to go on sale in November or December 2025.
Earlier speculations suggested that the Sierra would initially be introduced with an electric powertrain, with the ICE version expected to follow in January 2026. However, fresh reports indicate that the SUV will be offered with both powertrain options right from the beginning.
Engine Options
The Tata Sierra petrol is expected to come with the all-new 1.5L naturally aspirated and 1.5L turbocharged engine options. However, the turbo-petrol engine could be introduced later. The diesel model is expected to share the 2.0L turbo engine with the Harrier and Safari. The SUV will be available with both manual and automatic gearbox options. The Sierra EV might borrow its powertrain from the Harrier EV. The higher trims could be exclusively offered with dual-motor and AWD (all-wheel drive) system.
Key Highlights
The recently leaked images confirm that the Tata Sierra will feature a triple screen setup including a touchscreen infotainment system in the centre, a fully digital driverтАЩs display and an additional screen for the front seat passenger. The SUV will offer a touch-based HVAC controls with physical toggles and a flat-bottom steering wheel with an illuminated logo in the centre.
