November 2025 will witness two major SUV launches from Tata Motors and Hyundai Motor India. While the homegrown automaker is set to reintroduce the Tata Sierra nameplate, the next-gen Hyundai Venue will go on sale on the 4th of November. In the midsize SUV segment, the all-new Sierra will take on the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara and the newly-launched Victoris, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, and others. The all-new Venue will continue to face challenges from the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
Tata Sierra
According to media reports, Tata will initially introduce the Sierra with the ICE (internal combustion engine) powertrain options. The petrol version is likely to come with an all-new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine, a new 170bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine will follow later. The Sierra diesel might be offered from the Harrier-sourced 170bhp, 2.0 turbo engine. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will be on offer. An AWD (all-wheel drive) system will be exclusively available with the higher trims. The Tata Sierra EV is likely to go on sale in January 2026.
Tata will equip the new-age Sierra with several advanced features such as a triple screen setup, a 4-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, ambient lighting, ventilated and powered front seats, a 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS and more.
New-Gen Hyundai Venue
The next-generation Hyundai Venue will come with significantly improved styling and an upmarket interior, while retaining the existing engine options. The latest leaked images reveal that the SUV will feature a newly-designed grille inspired by the Palisade, revised front and rear bumpers, redesigned headlamps, new 16-inch alloy wheels, massive body cladding around the wheel arches and new connected LED taillamps.
The 2025 Hyundai Venue is likely to offer Level-2 ADAS suite along with features such as automatic climate control, a wireless charger, auto dimming IRVM, Type-C charging ports, ambient lighting, a revised centre console, new AC vents and dual screens.
Mechanically, the all-new Venue will remain unchanged. The existing 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines will be carried forward, as will the gearboxes.
