All SUV buyers – attention please! If you have been holding off your purchase, the next three months will bring some top models from leading OEMs such as Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Tata Motors. The all-new Maruti Victrois will reach showrooms around this Diwali, the next-gen Hyundai Venue is slated to launch on 24th October 2025. Tata Motors hasn’t announced the launch date of the Sierra EV yet; however, the SUV is expected to arrive in October or November 2025.

Let’s take a closer look at the key details of these upcoming SUVs.

Maruti Victoris

The Victoris SUV will come in six trims – LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI+ (O), ZXI+ and ZXI+ (O) – and ten colour options including the new Mystic Green and Eternal Blue. Buyers will have three engine choices – a 1.5L mild hybrid, a 1.5L strong hybrid and a 1.5L petrol + CNG. It will be India’s most fuel efficient car, and the safest Maruti Suzuki yet.

Interestingly, the Maruti Victoris offers several premium features, some of which are first for a Maruti Suzuki Arena product. Highlights include a premium sound system with Dolby Atmos, powered driver’s seat with ventilation, powered tailgate with gesture control, Level-2 ADAS, strong hybrid powertrain and an underbody CNG tank.

Suggestion: The Victoris could be a great pick for buyers looking for a feature-loaded, safe and fuel-efficient SUV. Its prices are expected to start around Rs 10 lakh onwards.

New-Gen Hyundai Venue

2025 Hyundai Venue Launch Date

The new-generation Hyundai Venue will come with significantly improved styling and more features, while retaining the existing engines. Spy images reveal that the compact SUV will feature a dual curvilinear screen for infotainment and instrument functionalities. It might also get leatherette upholstery, ventilated seats, wireless smartphone connectivity, a 360-degree camera and updated ADAS suite.

Under the hood, the 2025 Hyundai Venue will feature the existing 1.0L turbo petrol, 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. Transmissions will also be carried over from the current model including a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic.

Suggestion: With its premium feature upgrades and revised styling, the next-gen Hyundai Venue will be an attractive deal under Rs 10 lakh (for the lower variants).

Tata Sierra EV

Tata Sierra EV

The Tata Sierra is all set to make a comeback in India with a modern design, premium interior and multiple powertrains in the next 2-3 months. Initially, it will be offered with an electric powertrain, which could be borrowed from the Harrier EV. The latter is currently available with a 65kWh and 75kWh battery pack options. The driving range of the Sierra will be over 500km on a single charge.

In terms of features, the Sierra EV is likely to offer a triple screen setup, panoramic sunroof, HUD, bulit-in dashcam, ventilated and powered front seats, wireless phone charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 360-degree camera, Level-2 ADAS and more.

Suggestion: If you’re planning to upgrade your drive to an EV or looking for a premium electric SUV, the upcoming Tata Sierra EV could be an excellent choice.
