Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming midsize SUV is likely to be called Victoris, which has so far been widely referred as ‘Maruti Escudo’. The official name is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. Scheduled to go on sale on September 3, 2025, the Maruti Victoris will become the new flagship under the Arena dealership, challenging Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

The strong hybrid setup will be offered exclusively on the higher trims. A FWD drivetrain system will come as standard, while the AWD (all-wheel drive) configuration will be reserved for the petrol-automatic variants.
1st Maruti With Underbody CNG Tank
According to media reports, the Maruti Victoris will be the brand’s first CNG model to feature an underbody CNG tank. This will free up the boot space, which is usually eaten up by Maruti’s factory-fitted CNG cars.

The official details of the new Maruti SUV are expected to be revealed at launch. According to media reports, it will be the first Maruti Suzuki in India to feature Level-2 ADAS suite. Affordable Than Grand Vitara?
Since the new Maruti Victoris will be sold via Arena dealership, not via premium Nexa sales network like the Grand Vitara, it’s expected to be priced slightly lower. Despite the more accessible pricing, this new Maruti SUV could have more advanced features on board than its sibling.
