The Maruti Victoris SUV is finally here! The Indo-Japanese automaker has unveiled the new midsize SUV, which will be offered in six trim levels: LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI(O), ZXI+, and ZXI+(O). Based on the Grand Vitara, the Victoris SUV shares its powertrains, platform and several features with its sibling. However, it offers some additional features and unlike the Grand Vitara will be sold through Arena dealership network.
In the midsize SUV segment, the all-new Victoris takes directly on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder and Volkswagen Taigun. Within Maruti Suzuki’s product lineup, this new SUV bridges the gap between the Brezza and Grand Vitara. It will be exported to over 100 countries.

One of the biggest highlights of the new Victoris SUV is its hybrid powertrain, making it the first Arena model to feature a hybrid setup, borrowed from the Grand Vitara. It comes with a 92bhp, 1.5L, 3-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine paired to an electric motor, pushing out a maximum power of 79bhp and 141Nm of torque. The hybrid setup delivers a combined power of 115bhp and 141Nm of torque.
The new Maruti SUV is also available with the 103bhp, 1.5L K15C petrol mild hybrid and an 89bhp CNG engine options. The strong hybrid powertrain is available with an e-CVT gearbox, while the mild hybrid and CNG variants are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. A 6-speed torque convertor automatic is exclusively available with the mild hybrid powertrain.
What sets it apart from the Grand Vitara is the underbody CNG tank fitment – a first for any Maruti Suzuki in India. This arrangement frees up boot space, which is compromised in the Grand Vitara.
