The Maruti Suzuki Victoris midsize SUV has officially made its debut in India. Positioned as the flagship model of MS Arena dealership network, this new SUV will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and other models in the segment. It’s India’s most fuel efficient and Maruti Suzuki’s safety car yet. Bookings for the Maruti Victoris have already been commenced at a token sum of Rs 11,000. While the official launch date is yet to be announced, the SUV is likely to hit showrooms closer to Diwali.
Price Prediction

The Maruti Victoris model lineup will come in six trim levels – LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI (O), ZXI+ and ZXI+ (O). Buyers will also get three engine options – a 103bhp, 1.5L petrol, a 116bhp, 1.5L hybrid and an 89bhp CNG. Since it will be sold via Arena dealerships, the Victoris is expected to be priced quite competitively against its rivals.

Hybrid | Rs 14-14.50 – Rs 20 lakh |

Prices of the mild hybrid petrol is expected to start around 10 lakh for the LXI variant and go up to Rs 18.50 lakh for the top-end ZXI+ (O) AT AWD variant. The strong hybrid variants could be priced between Rs 14-14.50 lakh – Rs 20 lakh, while prices of the CNG range is likely to fall between Rs 10.50 lakh – Rs 14 lakh. It’s important to note that these are expected ex-showroom figures.
Cheaper Than Creta & Grand Vitara?
The Hyundai Creta, its main rival, is currently available within the price range of Rs 11.11 lakh – Rs 20.92 lakh. If the predicated pricing turns accurate, the Maruti Victoris will undercut the Creta by a significant margin. Furthermore, the Creta does not offer hybrid and CNG powertrains, giving the Victoris an edge.
The new Victoris will also be slightly more affordable than its sibling – the Maruti Grand Vitara, which is available in the price range of Rs 11.42 lakh – Rs 20.68 lakh. However, certain variant prices of the Victoris are expected to overlap with the Grand Vitara.
