Must Read

The Maruti Victoris midsize SUV recently made its official debut ahead of its launch around Diwali 2025. Bookings for the model are now open at all Arena dealerships for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The new Maruti SUV will be offered in four trims – LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+ – which are estimated to be priced from around Rs 10 lakh onwards. While the launch date and official prices are yet to be revealed, the carmaker has revealed all its design details, interior, features and engine specifications.

Similar to the Grand Vitara, the new Maruti Victoris will come with three engine options – a 103bhp, 1.5L mild hybrid petrol, a 116bhp, 1.5L strong hybrid and an 89bhp petrol-CNG. Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor and an e-CVT.

India’s Most Fuel Efficient Car

Engine-Gearbox Combos Victoris Grand Vitara
Petrol-MT 21.18kmpl 21.11kmpl
Petrol-AT 21.06kmpl 20.58kmpl
Petrol-AT AWD 19.07kmpl 19.2kmpl
Hybrid 28.65kmpl 27.97kmpl
CNG 27.02km/kg 26.6km/kg

Maruti Suzuki claims that the Victoris petrol-manual and automatic variants deliver an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 21.18kmpl and 21.06kmpl/19.07kmpl (AWD), respectively. The strong hybrid version returns a mileage of 28.65kmpl, while the CNG model promises 27.02km/kg. With such impressive figures, the Victoris becomes the most fuel efficiency car in India.

Interestingly, all variants of the Victoris (except the petrol-automatic AWD) are more fuel efficient than the Grand Vitara, despite both models sharing the same powertrains and having similar kerb weight.
