GST Reforms come as a boon for the Indian automotive industry. India’s largest PV (passenger vehicle) manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has retailed 80,000 units since the auspicious beginning of the Navratri season. Showroom footfalls have increased by double folds, thanks to the GST price cut implemented across its product range. The new prices of all Maruti Suzuki cars have already been revealed, and will remain applicable untill 31st December, 2025.
Subscription Plans & Easier Loans
Maruti Suzuki’s ownership program or subscription service further encourages customers to purchase a car at an all-inclusive monthly charge starting at Rs 1,999. This scheme covers the vehicle cost, insurance, maintenance and road tax. Additionally, the recent decline in repo rates has brought down EMIs, making loan management easier.

High Demand May Lead to Waiting Periods
The surge in demand might cause a slightly longer waiting period. Since dispatches were on hold for the first 20 days of September and restarted only on 22nd September, several units are still in transit. Customers may have to wait for deliveries a bit longer.
Maruti SUVs Now Cheaper
Talking about Maruti Suzuki’s SUVs, the Brezza compact SUV has become more affordable by up to Rs 1.12 lakh and the Grand Vitara is now cheaper by up to Rs 1.06 lakh. After the GST price reduction, the Maruti Brezza is available within the price range of Rs 8.26 lakh – Rs 11.31 lakh and the Grand Vitara now costs between Rs 19.50 lakh – Rs 15.78 lakh.
