Maruti Suzuki Sells 80,000 Cars This Navratri; Thanks to GST Price Cut

GST Reforms come as a boon for the Indian automotive industry. India’s largest PV (passenger vehicle) manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki has retailed 80,000 units since the auspicious beginning of the Navratri season. Showroom footfalls have increased by double folds, thanks to the GST price cut implemented across its product range. The new prices of all Maruti Suzuki cars have already been revealed, and will remain applicable untill 31st December, 2025.

Subscription Plans & Easier Loans

Maruti Suzuki’s ownership program or subscription service further encourages customers to purchase a car at an all-inclusive monthly charge starting at Rs 1,999. This scheme covers the vehicle cost, insurance, maintenance and road tax. Additionally, the recent decline in repo rates has brought down EMIs, making loan management easier.

High Demand May Lead to Waiting Periods

The surge in demand might cause a slightly longer waiting period. Since dispatches were on hold for the first 20 days of September and restarted only on 22nd September, several units are still in transit. Customers may have to wait for deliveries a bit longer.

Maruti SUVs Now Cheaper

Talking about Maruti Suzuki’s SUVs, the Brezza compact SUV has become more affordable by up to Rs 1.12 lakh and the Grand Vitara is now cheaper by up to Rs 1.06 lakh. After the GST price reduction, the Maruti Brezza is available within the price range of Rs 8.26 lakh – Rs 11.31 lakh and the Grand Vitara now costs between Rs 19.50 lakh – Rs 15.78 lakh.

Prices of the Maruti Fronx have been reduced by up to Rs 1.11 lakh. The entry-level variant of the compact crossover is now priced at Rs 6.85 lakh, while the top-end variant costs Rs 11.84 lakh. Customer can also purchase the Maruti Jimny at a starting price of Rs 12.32 lakh.

S-Presso Becomes India’s Most Affordable Car

Following the GST price cut, the Maruti S-Presso has become the most affordable car in the country. Its base variant is now available at just Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maruti Alto K10 comes in the price bracket of Rs 3.70 lakh – Rs 4.82 lakh.
