August 2025 was a profitable month for Hyundai Motor India as the carmaker registered total sales of 60,501 units including 44,001 units in the domestic market and exports of 16,500 units. The figure marked a marginal increase compared to July 2025. Exports stand at 16,500 units. In August 2025, the South Korean automaker managed to outperform Tata Motors, which recorded sales of 43,315 units during the same month. Between January – August 2025, Hyundai achieved a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 21 percent in exports.

Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer, HMIL said, “Transcending geographical boundaries, we at Hyundai Motor India take immense pride in ‘Make in India’ and continue delivering world-class, value-driven products that are tailored for global markets. Our goal is to establish India as a strategic manufacturing base for emerging economies and to become Hyundai’s largest export hub outside South Korea.”
He added, “This ambition is gaining strong traction month on month. Our exports grew by an impressive 21% year-on-year in August 2025. By synergising world-class manufacturing technologies with the supremely skilled Indian workforce, we continue to play a pivotal role in supporting the Government of India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative.”
Upcoming Hyundai SUVs & Cars:
The next-generation Hyundai Venue is set to launch on October 24, 2025. The compact SUV is expected to receive minimal design changes inspired by the Creta and Alcazar. It might receive a few feature upgrades, while retaining the existing engine options.
In 2026, the South Korean automaker will introduce two major products including the Bayon compact cross over and Inster EV. The Hyundai Bayon will be positioned against the Maruti Fronx, while the Hyundai Inster EV will rival the Tata Punch EV. The Hyundai Verna and Exter facelifts are also slated to launch in 2026.
