Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the new Shine 100 DX in India at Rs 74,959 (ex-showroom, Delhi). At this price point, it directly takes on the Hero Splendor, Bajaj Platina 100 and Hero HF Delux Pro. The new Honda Shine 100 DX is a more premium version of the standard Shine 100, offered in a single variant. It’s priced nearly Rs 6,000 higher than the standard Shine that costs Rs 68,862.

Bookings for the new premium Shine 100 have been commenced nationwide, and interested buyers can reserve it via Honda’s official website or visiting an authorized Honda dealership.

For power, the new Shine 100 DX uses a 98.98cc, air-cooled engine, which pushes out a peak power of 7.38PS at 7,500rpm and 8.04Nm at 5,000rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 4-speed gearbox.
Honda Shine 100 DX – Suspension, Brakes, Tyres
The bike has been built on a diamond frame, and features a conventional telescopic fork and 5-speed adjustable twin rear shocks suspension. The braking power comes from a 130mm front and a 110mm rear drum brake, sypported by Honda’s Combined Braking System (CBS).
This new Honda commuter rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 2.75-inch front and 3-inch rear tubeless tyres. It has a kerb weight of 103kg. Its seat height and ground clearance stand at 786mm and 168mm, respectively. The bike offers a fuel tank capacity of 10-litres.

The new Shine 100 DX features new body graphics and a redesigned tank cap. The chrome accents on headlight, gear lever, handlebar and exhaust cover further enhance its new looks. The bike comes equipped with a new LCD digital display with distance-to-empty readouts, real-time mileage and a side-stand engine cut-off.
Honda’s new 100cc commuter is available in four colour options – Imperial Red Metallic, Geny Gray Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.
