A shocking incident unfolded outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram residence, where gunmen opened fire late at night. The entire act, caught on CCTV, shows three men arriving on a motorcycle before two of them moved towards Yadav’s home with their faces covered and weapons in hand.
CCTV Reveals the Attack
The video, which runs for nearly 1 minute and 41 seconds, captures the attackers’ movements in chilling detail. At around the 53-second mark, two shooters are seen rushing towards the gates of Yadav’s house. Using the grills as a support, they indiscriminately began firing at the building. Police investigations suggest that around 26 bullets were fired in total — with one of the assailants unloading approximately seven rounds, while the other fired nearly 19.
Fortunately, Yadav was not present at home when the attack occurred.
Himanshu Bhau Gang Suspected
Early police investigations point towards the notorious Himanshu Bhau gang, which has been associated with a trail of violent crimes across Delhi-NCR, Punjab, and Haryana. Much like Lawrence Bishnoi’s syndicate, Bhau’s gang employs firearms, intimidation, and high-profile targets to spread fear and extort money.
The gang has been linked to several violent incidents in recent years:
- December 2023: Attack on a real estate agent in Dwarka over a ₹1 crore extortion demand.
- March 2024: Firing on a liquor shop owner in Panipat.
- May 2024: Shooting at a car showroom in Tilak Nagar, with MCOCA charges filed.
- June 2024: A gangster shot dead outside a Burger King outlet in Delhi in a revenge killing.
- September 2024: Another car showroom attacked in Naraina, Delhi.
- July 2025: An extortion threat made even to a Delhi Police head constable.
In each case, the pattern of gunfire, open intimidation, and fearmongering has remained consistent.
Social Media Power and Fugitive Status
According to sources, Himanshu Bhau and his close aides reportedly fled India using fake passports but continue to control their network remotely. Leveraging social media for fear tactics, these gangsters issue threats online — a method that has amplified their influence and instilled greater fear among targeted individuals.
Experts note that this mirrors the way Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang created nationwide headlines, such as the security breach and threats near actor Salman Khan’s residence. By using digital platforms, these gangs keep their names alive in public discourse, giving them more leverage for extortion.
Police Response
More than 24 hours after the Gurugram firing, the three shooters captured in the CCTV footage are still at large. Investigators, however, believe the assailants were small-time criminals hired by the larger gang syndicate. The real challenge for law enforcement lies in nabbing the key masterminds directing such crimes from abroad.Growing Fear in Gurugram
The brazen attack on a popular YouTuber’s residence has left residents shaken, raising questions about the growing influence of gangster networks. As police step up their pursuit, one pressing question remains — are these gangs blurring the line between criminals and digital influencers by using publicity and social media to enhance their grip?
