Mahindra & Mahindra has finally unveiled its four all-new Vision concept SUVs, based on brand’s new NU IQ modular monocoque platform. The production-ready versions of these SUVs will start arriving in 2027. While the carmaker hasn’t yet specific details of each model, the Mahindra Vision S concept is likely to join the Scorpio family. Speculations suggest that the concept might preview the next-gen Scorpio, Scorpio EV or a Scorpio-based compact SUV challenging the Hyundai Creta and the upcoming Tata Sierra.
Official details of the upcoming Mahindra SUV, which will be based on the Vision S concept, are expected to be revealed in the near future. Meanwhile, here’s a look at the available product information.

Multiple Engine Options
Since the Mahindra Vision S is underpinned by the NU IQ platform, which is compatible with multiple powertrains, the production-ready version could be offered with both ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and electric powertrain options.
Rugged Styling!
Visually, the Vision S concept resembles a baby Land Rover Defender, featuring an upright stance and rugged styling elements. Mahindra’s signature logo at the front flanked by a triplet of vertically stacked LEDs on either side, a massive black bumper, inverted L-shaped headlamps and pixel-shaped fog lamps give it an aggressive look. The concept also comes with roof-mounted lights, a roof ladder on the kerb side and a jerry can, highlighting its off-road character.
Other design elements include 19-inch tyres, pronounced wheel arches, thick black cladding all around the body, flush-fitting door handles, inverted L-shaped taillights, rear bumper integrated reflectors, tailgate mounted spare wheel and pixel lights on the rear bumper.
Inside the Cabin
The Mahindra Vision S concept features a flat-bottom steering wheel with the ‘Vision S’ lettering in the centre and mounted control buttons, a dashboard integrated touchscreen infotainment system and a digital driver’s display. The SUV concept also offers dual-tone upholstery and a panoramic sunroof.
