The Citroen Aircross was recently subjected to the Bharat NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) crash tests, and the SUV achieved a full five-start safety rating. The tested model was the 5-seater 1.2L petrol-automatic variant, which scored 27.05 points out of 32 in Adult Occupant Protection and 40 out of 49 points in Child Occupant Protection. However, the safety rating is applicable to all variants of the SUV.
Citroen Aircross – 5-Stars Adult Occupant Protection
In the frontal offset and side movable deformable barrier tests, the Aircross secured 11.05 points out of 16 and 16 out of 16, respectively. It provided ‘Marginal’ to ‘Good’ protection to the crotch, legs and chest of the driver and front passenger. However, its side pole impact test result was rated ‘Ok’.
Citroen Aircross – 4-Stars Child Occupant Protection
The Aircross impressed with full scores in both the dynamic (24/24) and CRS (child restraint system) installation tests (12/12). However, it underperformed in the vehicle assessment, scoring just 4 points out of 13.

Citroen Aircross Safety Features
All variants of the Aircross come with six airbags, electronic stability control, Isofix child seat mounts, hill hold assist, seatbelt reminders for all passengers and tyre pressure monitoring system.

Citroen Aircross X Launching Soon
The French automaker is all set to expand the Aicross SUV lineup with a new X trim, which will reach showrooms in the coming weeks. Similar to the Basalt X trim, it’s expected to feature a new ‘X’ emblem on the tailgate along with new upholstery, trim and interior colour theme.
