Ather Energy is gearing up to expand its electric two-wheeler portfolio with a brand-new scooter, set to unveil on August 30, 2025 at Ather Community Day (ACD). The new Ather electric scooter will be showcased in its concept form, and will mark debut of the company’s all-new ‘EL’ platform. The new EL architecture will cater as a more flexible and cost-effective base for Ather’s future scooter lineup.
Ather’s EL Platform
Interestingly, the EL architecture will integrate a new powertrain, electronics and chassis, while supporting Ather’s existing software, technologies and the battery currently used in the Ather 450 platform. According to Ather, this new platform will enable the development of a versatile range of scooters, designed to meet diverse domestic and global market requirements, while also reducing overall cost.
The upcoming Ather electric scooters based on the EL architecture will be manufactured at Ather Energy’s new Aurangabad facility in Maharashtra. This production plant will begin operations in a phased manner, starting from May 2026.

What the Teaser Reveals?
The official teaser shows silhouette of the upcoming Ather electric scooter. It also gives a glimpse of an LED DRL integrated on the apron and a handlebar cowl-mounted headlight with indicators on either side. The e-scooter is expected to enter production in 2026. Being based on the low-cost EL platform, it is likely to be more affordable than the Ather 450 and Ather Rizta, which serve premium scooter segments.
Affordable Ather Scooters
Ather’s first EL-based electric scooters are expected to cost nearly Rs 60,000 with BaaS (Battery-as-a-service) scheme. If pricing estimate remains true, the new Ather budget scooters will give tough competition to the electric two-wheelers from Hero Vida, Ola Electric, TVS and Bajaj Auto.
Ather Stack 7.0 & New-Gen Fast Chargers
Ather Energy will also unveil its all-new Ather Stack 7.0 operating software and next-generation Grid fast chargers at the Ather Community Day 2025. The updated software is expected to offer more features and a better riding experience, while the new fast chargers will ensure quicker charging times and an improved user experience.
