Ather Energy has revealed its all-new EL scalable platform alongside the Ather EL01 concept scooter. The production version of the EL01 will be the brand’s first product to be based on this new flexible architecture, and it’s slated to launch by the 2026 festive season.
Ather EL Platform – Explained
The electric two-wheeler maker claims that its new EL platform will double service intervals to 10,000km, nearly twice the industry standard of 5,000km. It will also reduce assembly time by 15 percent.

Furthermore, the new Ather EL platform mark debut of a new ACDC charging system with an onboard charger, allowing the vehicle to be charged directly through a standard three-pin household socket. It also supports fast charging. This scalable platform can accommodate different styles and sizes of scooters, ranging from maxi-scooters to family-oriented two-wheelers.
The EL platform is compatible to battery packs ranging from 2kWh to 5kWh. It features an advanced electronic braking system, which is essentially a more advanced version of CBS (combined braking system). While this new architecture will underpin Ather’s future products, the brand’s existing electric scooters will continue to use their current chassis.

Painted in dual-tone Neon and White colours, the showcased Ather EL01 concept scooter features a rectangular LED headlight with a small black apron, wide handlebars, a single-piece seat and a sleek LED taillamp with integrated indicators.
The Ather EL01 could be the first electric scooter to be designed on the new EL platform, arriving during the Diwali season next year. The company has confirmed that its upcoming EL platform based models will be manufactured at its new Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar-based production facility in Maharashtra.
