Hyundai Venue

The second-generation Hyundai Venue will go on sale in India on 24th October, 2025. Codenamed QU2i, the compact SUV will receive Creta-inspired design changes including a new and larger grille, redesigned LED headlamps, thicker body cladding over the wheel arches, new alloys and new connected LED taillamps. Inside, it might get an updated infotainment, ADAS suite, ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera. The 2025 Hyundai Venue will continue to come with the 1.2L NA petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engine options.

Tata Sierra

The next-generation Tata Sierra is set to make a comeback with modern styling, new-tech and features along with electric and ICE engine options. While the Sierra electric will hit roads on October or November, the ICE-powered version will follow early next year. The EV might borrow the powertrain from the Harrier EV, and come with the QWD/4WD system. The ICE-powered Sierra will initially be available with a new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and a 2.0L diesel engine. A turbocharged petrol engine will be introduced later.

Kia Seltos

The second-generation Kia Seltos is reported to make global debut in November 2025, followed by an India launch in early 2026. The SUV will carry Kia’s next-gen ‘Opposites United’ design language and grow dimensionally. The length is likely to increase by 100mm, which will make it the longest SUV in its category. The interior of the 2026 Kia Seltos will have more features on-board including a Panormaic Display sourced from the Kia Syros. The biggest upgrade will be the addition of a 1.5L petrol-hybrid powertrain, while existing engines will continue to be offered.

Maruti Baleno

The new-generation Maruti Baleno will be one of the first models to feature the brand’s in-housed developed strong hybrid powertrain. It’s likely to feature a 1.2L K-Series petrol engine, paired with a series hybrid system. Maruti Suzuki’s new hybrid technology is said to be more cost effective than Toyota Atkinson cycle that powers the Grand Vitara and Invicto. The strong hybrid powertrain will be exclusively offered on the higher trims, while the lower and mid variants will continue to feature the existing petrol engine. The 2026 Maruti Baleno is expected to come significantly improved styling and feature upgrades.

Mahindra Bolero

The new-generation Mahindra Bolero has been confirmed for launch in 2026. It will be the first production model to be based on Mahindra’s new NU-IQ modular platform, designed to support multiple powertrains. Spy images reveal that the new Bolero will feature all-black cabin theme with features such as a fully-digital instrument cluster, a new three-spoke steering wheel and dual zone climate control. It could also get a Level-2 ADAS suite. Under the hood, the 2026 Mahindra Bolero will continue to feature the existing 1.5L mHawk diesel engine.

Renault Duster

The third-generation Renault Duster will hit Indian shores early next year. The biggest highlight of the SUV will be the new hybrid powertrain, which might include a 1.6L, 4-cylinder petrol engine, two electric motors and a 1.2kWh battery pack. Its combined power output will be around 140bhp. There will also be multiple petrol engine options and a CNG variant. Compared to its previous generation, the all-new model will look sportier and offer a more feature-packed cabin.

Toyota Fortuner

Media reports suggest that the new-generation Toyota Fortuner is under development and expected to launch sometime in 2026 with comprehensive design changes and feature enhancements. The all-new Fortuner might draw design elements from the globally sold new-gen Toyota Hilux. It could be offered with an updated instrument cluster and infotainment system, an HUD (Head-Up display), ventilated seats and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). Mechanically, the 2026 Toyota Fortuner is likely to remain unchanged.
