SUVs and cars that aren’t just popular, but household names such as Hyundai Venue, Kia Seltos, Maruti Baleno and Mahindra Bolero will arrive in the next-generation avatars. - The next-gen Hyundai Venue is all set to hit roads just after Diwali in November, 2025. The SUV will receive Creta-inspired design changes and feature upgrades, while retaining the exiting 1.2L NA petrol, 1.0 turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines.
- The Tata Sierra will be introduced with an electric powertrain in late 2025, followed by its ICE-powered version in early 2026. While official specifications are yet to be revealed, it’s likely to borrow electric powertrain from the Harrier EV. The ICE version could be offered with an all-new 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and a 2.0L diesel engine.
- According to reports, the second-generation Kia Seltos will make global debut in late 2025 and its market launch might happen in early 2026. However, the Seltos hybrid will arrive in 2027. The SUV is expected to receive comprehensive changes inside and out.
- The third-generation Renault Duster will make its way to India in early 2026. The SUV will receive significant design changes inspired by the Dacia Bigster along with a more premium interior. A hybrid version is expected to follow around 6 months after the ICE version.
- The new-generation Maruti Baleno will be one of the first model to feature the brand’s in-house strong hybrid powertrain. It could be offered with the 1.2L Z-Series petrol engine, with a series hybrid system. It’s reported to deliver a fuel efficiency of over 35kmpl.
- The popular Mahindra Bolero SUV will finally receive a much-needed generational upgrade in 2026. It’s expected to be the first production model to feature Mahindra’s new NU_IQ platform. While the SUV might retain the existing diesel engine, the interior will be significantly upgraded.
