Tata Motors plans to launch multiple new and updated products in the coming months including the Punch facelift, the petrol versions of the Harrier and Safari and the all-new Sierra. The exact launch dates of these upcoming Tata SUVs are yet to revealed; however, the updated Punch and petrol-powered Harrier and Safari are expected to go on sale in November and December 2025, respectively. The Tata Sierra EV could be introduced in November, while its ICE version is likely to follow in January 2026.
New 2025 Tata Punch Facelift
The 2025 Tata Punch facelift is likely to receive minimal design changes along with some tech upgrades. Spy images suggest that the compact SUV might feature a slightly revised front grille and bumper, redesigned headlamps, new alloy wheels, a revised tailgate design and LED taillamps inspired by Altroz.
The updated Punch will get the Altroz-like two-spoke steering wheel. Features such as a new music system, ventilated front seats, blind spot monitor and 6-airbags (as standard) might also be on-board. Mechanically, the new Punch will remain unchanged.
Tata Harrier/Safari Petrol
The Tata Harrier and Safari petrol are expected to mark the debut of Tata’s all-new 1.5L turbocharged, direct-injection (TGDi) petrol engine. Showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo, this new gasoline motor delivers a claimed power of 170bhp and 280Nm of torque. It complies with the BS6 Phase II emission standards and is capable of running on E20 ethanol petrol mix fuel.
Tata Sierra
The ICE-powered Tata Sierra is expected to be offered with three engine options – a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, a 170bhp, 1.5L turbocharged petrol and a 2.0L diesel (sourced from Harrier). The turbo-petrol engine is reported to be introduced at a later stage; initially, the SUV will be available with the naturally aspirated petrol engine only. The Sierra EV might share its powertrains with the Harrier EV.
