25,000 Bookings in 14 Days! Maruti Victoris Waiting Period Now Up to 10 Weeks

It’s just been over two weeks since the all-new Maruti Victoris went on sale in India, and it has already gathered 25,000 bookings so far. The high demand has translated into a waiting period of up to 10 weeks (70 days). Introduced as a direct rival to the Hyundai Creta, the Victoris comes with petrol, hybrid and CNG engine options, and several segment-first features. The SUV lineup is available in 6 trims (LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI (O), ZXI+ and ZXI+ (O)), priced between Rs 10.5 lakh – Rs 19.99 lakh (all, ex-showroom).

Buyers also have an option to purchase the Maruti Victoris through a monthly subscription scheme starting at Rs 27,707. This monthly rental covers the vehicle’s cost, registration, insurance, maintenance and roadside assistance.

India’s Safest Midsize SUV

Interestingly, the Victoris is the safest vehicle in its segment, having achieved a 5-star rating in both Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP. Its standard safety kit includes a 360-degree camera, six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD and Isofix child seat mounts. The Level-2 ADAS (autonomous driving assistance system) is reserved for the higher trims.

Engine-Gearbox Options

The Maruti Victoris shares its powertrains with the Grand Vitara – a 103bhp, 1.5L mild hybrid petrol, a 116bhp, 1.5L strong hybrid and an 89bhp, 1.5L petrol-CNG (with an underbody CNG tank). Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual (petrol and CNG), a 6-speed torque convertor automatic (petrol) and an eCVT (strong hybrid).

The Victoris is also the most fuel-efficient car in India, offering 28.56kmpl (ARAI) with strong hybrid powertrain. Its petrol mild hybrid version delivers a mileage of 21.18kmpl (MT), 21.06kmpl (AT) and 19.07kmpl (AT-AWD).
