The Hyundai i20 was first introduced in India in 2008, and received multiple facelifts and generational upgrades in 2014 and 2020. The hatchback has always been admired for its modern styling, premium cabin and multiple powertrain options. Although sales in the small car segment have been continuously declining, Hyundai aims to revive the i20’s market performance with a new generational upgrade. The fourth-gen Hyundai i20 is currently in its initial testing phase and has been spotted running on roads in Gurugram, Haryana.
Revised Styling
The spotted test mule was completely camouflaged concealing most of its design details. The 2026 Hyundai i20 is likely to retain its original silhouette, but carry the brand’s new design language. It might come with an entirely new front fascia, and newly-designed alloy wheels. The hatchback lineup is expected to receive new colour options as well.

More Features
Inside, the new i20 is expected to feature a redesigned dashboard and dual TFT clusters measuring 10.2-inch. To enhance its value proposition, Hyundai might also equip the hatchback with features such as ventilated front seats, a 360 degree camera and more.
