The next-gen Tata Sierra is inching closer to its market launch. So far, we have seen the SUV evolve from its concept form to final production model along with multiple spy images and videos. The SUV will make its official debut in November, possibly with the price announcement. Initially, the Sierra will be introduced with all-electric powertrain, which is expected to be borrowed from the Harrier EV.

This means, the electric Sierra will come with two battery pack options – 65kWh and 75kWh. On the Harrier EV, these batteries deliver a claimed MIDC range of 538km (65kWh), and 627km (75kWh, RWD) and 622km (75kWh, AWD). For the Sierra EV, the expected range is likely to be between 500km – 600km.
Its arch rival – the Hyundai Creta Electric offers an ARAI-certified range of 390km with a 42kWh battery and 473km with a 51.4kWh battery pack. Similar to the Harrier EV, the 2025 Tata Sierra EV is expected to come with QWD/AWD as an option.

The Sierra EV’s rivals – the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV and Tata Curvv EV – are currently available within the price range of Rs 17.99 lakh – Rs 24.38 lakh, Rs 17.99 lakh – Rs 20.50 lakh and Rs 17.49 lakh – Rs 22.24 lakh, respectively. Considering this, the Sierra EV is expected to be offered at a starting price of around Rs 18-19 lakh and the top-end variant with the larger battery pack is estimated to cost around 25 lakh. The AWD version, if offered, might carry a price tag of around Rs 27 lakh.
