Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to launch the updated Thar 3-door and Bolero Neo in the coming months. However, the official launch dates for both models are yet to be revealed. The new 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift was recently caught on camera with minimal camouflage, revealing interesting design details and interior upgrades. Interestingly, most of these updates are inspired by the Thar Roxx.

Here’re the top 10 changes expected in the new Thar.

Slightly Improved Styling
On the exterior, the new Mahindra Thar 2025 will feature a new grille with double-stacked slots, and new C-shaped LED signatures in headlamps and taillamps. The SUV will come with the newly-designed alloy wheels (likely limited to higher trims), while the tyre sizes will remain unchanged.
Premium Features
Spy images confirm that the updated Thar will feature a new three-spoke electric power steering replacing the existing hydraulic power unit. A larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless phone charger, a reverse parking camera, a front armrest, door-inlaid power window switches, and grab handles on the A-pillars will also be borrowed from the Thar Roxx.
Same Engine Gearbox Options
The new 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift will continue to come with the existing 152bhp, 2.0 turbo petrol, 119bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel and 132bhp, 2.2L turbo diesel engine options. Transmissions will also be carried over from the current model including a 6-speed manual (standard) and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic (with 2.2L diesel variants only).
Pricing
Following the GST reports, the existing 3-door Thar received a price cut of up to Rs 1.35 lakh and is currently priced between Rs 10.31 lakh and Rs 16.60 lakh. With the addition of more premium features and styling upgrades, the 2025 Thar facelift is expected to see a minor price hike.
