2025 Ather Rizta Z Gets OTA Touchscreen Update & Eco Mode

The 2025 Ather Rizta Z electric scooter has been introduced with a touch-enabled instrument cluster and a new Terracotta Rec colour featuring a super-matte, dual-tone finish. The company has announced that the existing Rizta owners will soon receive an OTA (over-the-air) update, enabling a full touchscreen functionality. This upgrade is possible due to the advanced hardware already installed into the scooter. Furthermore, the updated will activate Eco Mode with the rollout scheduled for the coming weeks.

Battery Options & Performance:

Mechanically, the 2025 Ather Rizta Z remains unchanged. It continues to come with 2.7kWh, 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh battery packs, delivering a claimed IDC range between 123km – 159km. The Z trim features a 4.3kW electric motor, which generates a maximum torque of 22Nm. It does 0 to 40kmph in 4.7 seconds, and offers a top speed of 80kmph. The electric scooter offers two riding modes – Zip and SmartEco.

Key Highlights:

The Ather Rizta is the first electric scooter in India to offer a traction control system. It also comes with features such as a ‘DeepView’ LCD dash, Google Maps navigation, Magic Twist, hill hold, and more. With 34-litres of underseat storage space and a 22-litres frunk, the Rizta offers a class-leading total storage capacity of 56-litres.

New Platform, Concepts & More!

At the same event, Ather Energy also unveiled its all-new EL platform and two electric scooter concepts – the EL01 and Redux. The company has confirmed that the first scooter based on the new EL architecture will go on sale during the 2026 festive season. While the Ather EL01 previews a simple looking urban electric scooter, the Ather Redux concept showcases the brand’s future maxi-scooter.

The 2025 Ather 450 Apex has also been launched at the event. The e-scooter is now available with an “Infinity Cruise” feature, enhancing handling and riding experience. It offers three cruise modes – City Cruise, Hill Cruise and Crawl Control.
