Hyundai Motor India has announced big plans for the Indian market. Recently, the South Korean automaker revealed its most aggressive transformational product strategy, which includes the launch of 26 new models by 2030. The upcoming range will feature multiple ICE (internal combustion engine), electric and hybrid vehicles, catering to a wider audience.
Hyundai’s multi-powertrain and multi-segment strategy is aimed at helping the company regain its second position as India’s top car manufacturer, as it faces stiff competition from the homegrown rivals – Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors.
New Hyundai Verna & Exter Facelifts In 2026
The South Korean automaker has planned four major product launches for next year – the all-new Hyundai Bayon compact crossover and Inster EV along with the Verna and Exter facelifts. The 2026 Hyundai Verna and Exter are expected to receive subtle cosmetic and feature upgrades, while retaining their existing engine setup.
Spy images reveal that the 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift will come with a heavily revised front fascia. It might feature redesigned headlamps and taillamps and slightly updated front and rear bumpers. The 2026 Hyundai Exter facelift is expected to be offered with new upholstery and additional safety features, with only minimal changes to its exterior design.
The Hyundai Verna is currently available with a 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated and 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine options. The base variant of the sedan is priced at Rs 11.07 lakh, while the top-end trim costs Rs 17.58 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
The Hyundai Exter comes with a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing a maximum power of 83hbp and 114Nm of torque. A CNG variant will also be on offer. Positioned as Hyundai’s most affordable and smallest SUV, the Exter is currently offered within the price range of Rs 6 lakh – Rs 10.51 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Both the Verna and Exter are likely to witness a minor price hike following their midlife updates in 2026.
